The old home town looks the same
As I step down from the train
And there to meet me is my Mama and Papa
And down the road I look and there runs Mary

예전 그대로인듯 하구나
그곳엔 나를 마중나오신 어머니와 아버지가
계시고 길 아래쪽에선 금발 머리와 앵두빛
입술의 메리가 뛰어오고 있네
고향의 푸른 잔디의 느낌은 이렇게 좋은 걸...

비록 칠은 갈라지고 색은 바랬지만 내가 살던

문득 정신이 들어 주위를 둘러보니
나를 둘러싸고 있는것은 4개의 회색 담장뿐..
그제서야 나는 내가 단지 꿈을 꾸고 있었음을
깨달았다네. 왜냐하면 그곳엔 간수와 슬픈 얼굴의
신부가 서 있었기 때문이라오
팔짱을 끼고 우린 새벽길을 걸을 것이고
나는 다시 고향의 푸른 잔디를 느끼게 될것입니다.
