Jungwon's Portfolio (47) 썸네일형 리스트형 Holy creature Holy creature My mind is too full of myself that I am sometimes surprised at my double-sidedness. This portrait is representing diverse kinds of my personality with the mixture of different kinds of materials and colorful colors. There is a hidden meaning behind: I am the creation of god. Governed by animals If animals in a zoo dominate our life, what would it be like? The invasion of animals in our everyday life was actualized in this work ironically by a realistic depiction. I was motivated by the artist Walton Ford. Insectuman Insectuman Human living in the modern society is far away from nature. I wanted to find human’s true character by drawing human composed of insects and plants in this work. Harmony of face A combination of eyes, a nose, and a mouth makes a characteristic of a face. If one of them is missed, we find it is not usual. We recognize the world with eyes by seeing, a nose by smelling and a mouth by talking. This work is about the relationship and the charm of this three components of a face with a realistic depiction and diverse kinds of color. Still beautiful Most people enjoy watching beautiful flowers. I also like to go a flower shop sometimes to watch flowers. One day, I saw a flower pot on the flower shop’s floor, but knew that it would be useless soon. This work is done by water color which can represent purity of flowers in order not to forget the image of the beautiful flowers. Space drawing This drawing is the study of a interesting structural space with charcoal and conte. Unbelievable ! People may have daydreamed once in their lives whenever they are taking the boring courses. Once I imagined that the chairs are flying and the tree outside of the window comes into the classroom, and starts to talk to me. If it is real, it must be fun. Free drawing I depicted a wide variety of goods for living with monotone materials and just a line. Animal observation 11 I believe animals have feelings just like human. Even though they cannot talk a verbal language, they have face expressions. When looking at animals caged in a zoo, I felt their depression and loneliness, so I expressed about their feelings on my work using water color, charcoal, and conte. Animal observation 1 I tried to depict the distinct form and feature of different kinds of animal’s body by using diverse materials. I sometimes exaggerated the specific part and articulated the sense of the body on the parts of the work. In fact, bones are necessary to hold this beauty of the human body curves, but we forget about this many times.
