한 여인은 카메라를 마주보고 인사를 건네 듯 손을 들고 있고

또 한 여인은 정면을 바라보고 있는 이 사진은 동일한 인물을 찍은 것으로

 

이것은 동일한 인물을 색상을 달리하여 다양성을 보여주는 다른 작품들과 같이

다양성을 구체화한 것이라고 한다.

 

Mululneh의 칼라풀한 메이컵의 사용은 아프리카의 바디 아트에서 영감을 얻은 것으로

그녀의 모델들에게 육체적인 성격을 부여하는 것이라고 하고~

 

에티오피아에서 태어나 많은 세월을 그 밖의 지역에서 때로는 이방인처럼 살았던 그녀는

이 작품들을 통해 그간의 많은 경험을 근간으로 하는 world is 9이라는 시리즈를 이끌어 냈는데

 

world is 9이라는 것은 그의 할아버지의 말

"The world is nine, it is never complete and it's never perpect" 에서 비롯된 것이라고 한다.

He features friends and muses in his work that creates meaningful relationships through the medium of photography.

 

Sepuya reveals the subjects in his art in fragments: torsos, arms, legs, or feet rather the entire body.

 

Through provocative photography, Sepuya creates a feeling of longing and wanting more.

힘겨운 산고끝에 태어난 갓난 아이를 안고

 

해맑게 웃고 있는 산모의 미소가 아름답기만 하다.
